Overseas Missions

A few of our members have been blessed with an opportunity to serve countries such as Tanzania  (Dar-es-salaam and Mwanza) , Tajikistan (Dushanbe and Khorog), and Pakistan. Areas of work in Pakistan have included Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Shergoda, Hunza, Gilgit, Gulmit Upper Hunza, Soost (near the China Border), and Singal.
Our mandates for the missions have included:
  • Mentoring the local Dental Professionals
  • Providing help in the planning and designing of new dental clinics
  • Setting up infection control and sterilization protocols and helping with their implementation
  • Maximizing operational efficiencies within the Operatory and the entire clinic.
  • Supplying materials which are hard to find in these areas.
  • Setting up camps, whereby consultations and dental treatment are provided to the local population.

Our latest endeavour is a mobile medical/dental van, that was funded by a few private members from the UK, Tanzania, and Canada.

This mobile van can reach remote areas and provide preventive as well as comprehensive dental treatment to populations that otherwise have no access to primary care.

Due to the COVID -19 pandemic, all missions have been halted for now. We will monitor the situation and update the membership when we resume the program.

We are very humbled to have this opportunity to serve these communities.

Abulcasis Dental Alliance is committed to providing ongoing philanthropic donations to various institutions around the world.  One hundred percent of all donations are given to the recipient charitable organization.  In the past, Abulcasis Dental Alliance has donated all the dental hygiene instruments required to the first class of the dental hygiene program at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi.  Most recently, the Alliance has helped with the purchase of digital x-ray sensors and the purchase of an x-ray phantom head for teaching purposes.

Our funds are raised through contributions from supporting vendors, our members, personal donations, and contributions from non-member affiliations.




All proceeds of this donation will be given to the Aga Khan Foundation Canada. You will receive a tax-deductible receipt from this organization for your donations.
